Mr. Whitehead's long career in law began by happenstance, but he knew that he wanted to make a difference for the better. With an education in finance from the University of Virginia and a degree from the University of Richmond School of Law, he could provide real help to people on a daily basis. However, it wasn't enough to practice law for profit. Back during the aftermath of 9/11, when victims of the attack were injured, missing, or dead, Mr. Whitehead took on pro-bono cases to help those who would have had to suffer through their grief without guidance. This willingness to assist in general times of need sets Mr. Whitehead apart as a legal representative ready to achieve the best for you.
When our firm opened nearly two decades ago, it was important to Mr. Whitehead to add this same altruistic spark to our approach in handling client cases. Mr. Whitehead has practiced personal injury law for over two decades and has become an advocate for safety both on and off the road. He sees the imperative of enforcing laws that prohibit misconduct behind the wheel, such as driving while intoxicated or texting while driving. He holds people accountable for this negligence when they've caused harm to others. It's our privilege to work alongside Mr. Whitehead in making the roads and our communities as safe as we can.
"I have a vested interest in creating a safer place for people to live their lives - it's what keeps me practicing."
EXPERIENCE YOU CAN TRUST...AND PASS ON
Over the course of his career, Mr. Whitehead has handled more than 1,200 personal injury cases. Together with his partner, Ms. Chiocca, they take a tag-team approach to the cases that come to the office so that each one passes through the hands of both of our attorneys. Mr. Whitehead likes to meet the clients and handle a significant portion of the pre-litigation work, while Ms. Chiocca does much of our litigation. We've found that, over the years, clients appreciate our quick way of getting through their cases. They get the word out, and Mr. Whitehead enjoys building new relationships that last.
Outside of the firm, Mr. Whitehead has a wife and two children, and he enjoys traveling all over the world. He's a board member of Richmond Little League, and his children even played in Japan. He's traveled with his family, and with Ms. Chiocca, across the United States, Africa, South America, Europe, and Central America, creating experiences as they've gone along.
